Modernity is not all correct.
Postmodernity is not all correct.
The fault lies in missing the truth in either one.
Industrialism is not all correct.
Agrarianism is not all correct.
The failure lies in missing the important points both make, because you have entirely both into one system or another.
Capitalism is not perfect.
Neither is Communism.
The mistake is thinking that one of them can save the economy.
In every philosophy and paradigm in history there probably lies some truth. God has planted the desire for truth in every human, and the world shows his truth. Even in the most horrible lies, there may lie truth either in the lie or in the refutation of the lie.
My proposition is integration. Integrate the true things you find in books, music, movies and anything else into your life. But always compare them with the truth found in the Bible and in Jesus. Don't buy in to the fact that this doesn't conform with the traditional views of things, but look for the truth. Look for the truth in postmodernism even if as a whole you don't embrace it. Find the truth in the agrarian rejection of technology, and add it to your life. Take every kernel of truth from capitalism, but beware of the effects it has on us and our way of life.
Search for the truth, but don't stop there. When you find it, add it into your life. Don't worry if it's from a source you didn't expect and doesn't typically fit into your views. If it's true, think on it and add it into the way you live.
In the coming weeks I hope to show some of the things I've learned recently and am trying to integrate into my life.
